Martin Lanphere joined Timberline Drilling, Inc. in 2008, bringing a strong foundation of discipline, leadership, and strategic thinking. His professional career began in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he developed the work ethic and mission-focused mindset that continue to define his approach. He later built a successful career in financial services, managing more than 100 employees and overseeing major accounts while driving profitable growth. At Timberline, Martin Lanphere applies his strengths in process optimization and team development, consistently improving operations and supporting long-term organizational growth.

Lewis Walde

With more than 15 years of prior management experience in the LP gas industry across the Western United States, CJ Larsen brings a strong background in crew leadership, project oversight, and customer relations. Known for his hands-on leadership and steady decision-making, CJ Larsen plays a critical role in streamlining operations and driving project success.

Michaela Turley brings more than 16 years of experience in business administration, accounting, and financial operations to Timberline Drilling. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Managerial Accounting and works closely with Timberline’s operations teams to support coordination across the organization. Known for her organization, attention to detail, and collaborative approach, Michaela Turley plays an important role in both day-to-day administration and long-term strategic planning.

Shane Shannon came into the drilling industry in 2007. Organically grown within the company from a helper with zero experience to Senior Operations Manager, he has seen and experienced nearly every aspect of TDI. These experiences allow Shane Shannon to connect with crews at all levels and provide them with a roadmap to success. Additionally, Shane Shannon works closely with clients to ensure projects are mutually successful from the bidding process through completion.

Mike Brink began his career with Timberline Drilling in 2008 as a Driller’s Apprentice and advanced through the organization to Senior Operations Manager. Known for his strong work ethic, goal-oriented approach, and commitment to high standards, Mike Brink takes a hands-on role in Timberline’s operations. He is passionate about teaching, training, and holding teams accountable while giving crews the skills and support needed to perform safely and successfully at the highest level.

Julian Collins joined Timberline Drilling in 2019 through the IDEA Drilling acquisition and brings nearly 30 years of drilling-services experience. He holds a B.S. in Engineering Geology and Hydrogeology and an MBA. His background includes U.S. and global commercial leadership roles at Boart Longyear and founding a very successful environmental drilling company from scratch. His combination of technical expertise, commercial leadership, entrepreneurial experience, and industry knowledge strengthens Timberline’s strategic direction and operational capabilities.

Tony Moore joined Timberline Drilling in 2008, bringing extensive experience in safety and health management. A Certified Safety Professional, MSHA instructor, and Certified Health and Safety Auditor, Tony Moore is responsible for developing and implementing Timberline’s environmental, health, safety, and training programs. His 14 years of prior experience as a Health and Safety Specialist and Manager for a major Nevada mining corporation provide a strong foundation for his work at Timberline. Tony Moore is known for his proactive approach, strong regulatory knowledge, and commitment to building a culture where safety is prioritized at every level. His leadership has been instrumental in elevating Timberline’s safety performance.

Outside of work, Brayden enjoys spending time with his wife and son, hunting, and golf.

John Dietel dedicated much of his life to Timberline Drilling and helped shape the company through his leadership, integrity, and unwavering commitment to the people around him.

Throughout his career, John earned the respect of coworkers, clients, and friends alike. His knowledge, mentorship, and passion for the drilling industry left a lasting impact that continues to influence Timberline today.

Although he is no longer with us, his legacy remains an important part of Timberline’s foundation and culture. He is remembered with gratitude, respect, and appreciation for the many lives he touched.
